In this tutorial, we’ll explore how you can complete a series of tasks in UniRouter for the Bybit x B² Network Event, such as how to obtain uBTC on B² Network.
There are two ways to get your hands on uBTC on B² Network. The first one is for existing Hive Protocol stakers, who have to withdraw Bitcoin first from Hive Protocol before depositing into UniRouter for uBTC. The other method is for new users who want to directly obtain uBTC in exchange for their B² Network BTC.
Step 1: Head to Hive Protocol’s Withdrawal page.
Step 2: Enter the amount that you’ve staked and initiate the unstaking process. Click on Unstake and complete the transaction. You will then see your unstaked amount reflected under Pending to withdraw.
Please note that it will take about 24 hours for you to be able to withdraw your uBTC, according to the Hive Protocol page.
Step 3: After about 24 hours, navigate back to the same page and you’ll be able to see that the amount under Ready to withdraw should be updated to reflect your unstaked amount. Click on Withdraw and finish the transaction.
Congratulations! You have now withdrawn your BTC into your wallet. You can then proceed to use UniRouter to convert the BTC to uBTC, while still earning B² rewards from Hive Protocol staking.
Step 1: Navigate to UniRouter’s uBTC page. On the upper right corner, make sure that you’ve switched to the B² Mainnet, and that your wallet is connected.
Congratulations! You now have uBTC! Soon, you should be able to use uBTC to trade, lend, collateralize and more!
Notes:
The withdrawal process on UniRouter is pretty similar to that of Hive Protocol.
uBTC balances are snapshotted daily to calculate your B2 token rewards from Hive and UniRouter’s U Point allocation. (For the latter, we’ll soon have a more detailed explanation on how it works.) B2 token claiming will be enabled once Hive Protocol opens up for claiming. Feel free to check out Hive’s announcement for more details.
